Nanny in Calgary

Amazing nanny for hire! You're probably thinking "wow, this girl must have a big ego... She thinks she's amaaaaazing." Well, let me start by saying, I'm not perfect; I usually don't follow recipes, I drive an old Toyota, and I embarrass my boyfriend with how often I strike up a conversation in line at the grocery store... Let's be honest, I could go on for days, like most of us, but I won't. Instead I'll try to convince you of my nanny amazingness; 1. I'm fun. Obviously I'm not fun 24/7. There are several hours a day that I am not fun, and that is when I sleep. 2. I'm creative and artistic. I see a world of potential on a sheet of blank paper and I try to inspire children to feel the same way. 3. I don't always follow the rules. (Oh yeah, kids love this one.) Under no regular circumstance would I go against the wishes of a parent. Having said that, if every one is safe and happy, I'll make an exception here or there. 4. I'm hands-on. I can't tell you how often I see nannies at the park, sitting on a bench, absorbed in their phones. Heck, I don't blame them, but I have a different approach. You may have heard of it... "playing." 5. I'm qualified. I took part in a Red Cross babysitters course when I was 13, was involved in swimming lessons for many years (that include CPR training,) and I have been looking after children for 10 years (two full-time nanny jobs amid dozens of part-time or one-time babysitting gigs.) **Im looking into getting my infant first aid/CPR certificate and can complete this training before I start, if required.** 6. I'm reliable and flexible. For the most part, I am available 24/7. If you need me a few hours earlier or later than usual, it's almost never a problem with me. 7. I'm loving. I am a truly compassionate and warm person and I share that with any and all children I'm around. Well, if you're still reading, I thank you! I know it can take a lot of effort to read through dozens of nanny-for-hire ads, so I appreciate it. Now that I've tooted my own horn, let me tell you a bit about my non-nanny side; I'm a 23-year-old Virgo who studied radio broadcasting in college and enjoyed a short stint working on-air at Virgin Radio. That was fun, but for a hundred boring reasons, it isn't working for me right now, and that's why I'm a nanny. I'm in a long-term relationship with a great guy who has given me a love of fishing! We spend our weekends outdoors, usually trying to catch fish, occasionally succeeding. I have a German shepherd and a funny cat, and I'm planning on starting a small worm-farm in the near future. I'm located in the NE, but have a license and a car so I can always get to wherever I'm needed. Whew. Before I write my autobiography here, I'll conclude with more on what I'm looking for in a job. I am comfortable taking care of up to 3 children of any age, but would prefer toddler-preschool age as eventually I would like to study early childhood education and development. I am comfortable driving children to activities, cooking, cleaning, bathing, laundry, diaper duty and all of that fun stuff. My main priority will always be the welfare of the children, but I will help with pretty much anything you need help with.
