The ''Smoking'' Nanny
June 24, 2014
We received the following email from a parent that hired a Toronto nanny. What is your advice?
We are suspecting that a newly hired nanny smokes. She only slightly smells of smoke and I do not suspect that she is smoking in our house. But I worry that as she becomes comfortable with in our home she may become comfortable with her habit. I don’t love her being a smoker but we still love the care she provides to our baby. But I feel that I should have a discussion with her. Do I have a right to address this? How do I state this without offending her?
