Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes!
Enough of winter already! Want it to feel like summer AND have some fun this spring break? We have just the idea for you!
It's so important to get the kids in the kitchen with you, because they're more likely to make healthy food choices as they grow older, and they lean important skills from watching you. We know, they tend to make a bigger mess than necessary, and everything takes longer than it should, but it's so important! This spring break, relax and have a little fun in the kitchen with your kids!
We found this idea on allrecipes.ca and saved it on our Kids in the Kitchen board on Pinterest. Its a fun twist on a classic treat, perfect for having a care-free summer snack, any time of the year. Just take your favourite cupcake recipe and instead of baking them in the boring old cupcake liners, bake them in an ice cream cone, put on a baking sheet and bake until a toothpick comes out clean. Keep a close eye on them, in case the bake time is different in the cones than in the standard cupcake tin. Decorate them however you'd like - better yet, set out an assortment of decorations and let the kids decorate their own!
Enjoy!
