I am a mother of two daughters, ages 10 and 13. They both have long hair. As you can imagine, I spend a large amount of time dealing with their hair. By the time I get to work, I'm exhausted!
I don't know what those girls do during the night, but my younger daughter wakes up and her hair is full of knots and tangles. It doesn't matter what products or brushes I use, it's still a struggle to brush it out.
My older daughter has wavy hair, yet she wants it to be pin straight every day. She even asked for a straightener when she was 9! I held out until she was 10, because I felt she was too young to start damaging her hair like that.
Of course, there are always new trends at school, with all the girls wanting to look like celebrities or adults. I'm amazed by how many of their friends have highlights in their hair. I even know someone who waxes her 10 year old's legs!
Am I too traditional? Aren't these things supposed to be for adults, not children?
