Hey! My name is Chantel I’m a responsible and nurturing 22-year-old who is looking for babysitting jobs around Moose Jaw and area! In 2018 I graduated from Peacock High School here in Moose Jaw. I am now working towards becoming a certified Doula. But my main goal is to become a nurse! More about my career history... ECE for the YMCA (Toddler Teacher). I’m comfortable babysitting up to 4 children at a time; depending on age. I’m a non-smoker. I have a driver's license and a personal vehicle. My credentials include OHS Standard First Aid CPR-C and AED, Red Cross Babysitters license and food safe level 1 training. I can supply a criminal reference check as well as multiple references! What’s most important to me... #1 The safety and well-being of the child(ren). #2 Communication between me and you the guardian(s). Giving honest updates to you during the time you are away and a report after you are home is an easy and important part of being your caregiver. I want you to feel most comfortable leaving me with your child(ren). I want us to be a team and work together. I want to know what works and what doesn’t when you discipline and teach your child(ren). I want to know what your routines are to make the time I’m with them go as smoothly as possible. I believe it’s so important to have consistency during a child’s growth and development. More perks about me... I’m Flexible - I can adapt and go with the flow easily; I can be available within short notice. I love kids - I love spending time with kids, I’d treat them like they’re my own. I enjoy outings- I love being outside and having fun with the kids so going to the park, grabbing some ice cream or taking the kids to a water park is an easy way to burn energy. When the weather isn’t in our favour I’d enjoy taking the kids to an indoor play center or doing crafts at home. (All of course done with the guardians’ permission) Creative - I love inspiring a child’s imagination with numerous crafts and activities for all ages. I also want to help your child learn! Finger painting, playing with toys, making forts, drawing with chalk on the sidewalk, playing thinking games and even baking are just a few things I like to do! Tidy & Organized - I feel it’s my job to lead a clean-up after any mess we make while your child(ren) are in my care. Healthy Eating - I believe it’s vital for to children pick up sustainable habits such as drinking plenty of water and meeting their nutritional needs. I enjoy creating healthy meals with foods that my parents approve of. That being said there’s nothing wrong with a treat here and there!! I hope you consider me as your babysitter/child’s caregiver!
