Nanny Job in Victoria, British Columbia

Hello! We currently have a part-time Nanny 2.5 days a week who we love, but we need to increase the amount of hours which her schedule won't be able to accommodate come the school year in September. You should be enthusiastic, energetic, interactice, playful, fun, inventive, outdoorsey, crafty, silly, caring and be willing to have the odd baking session in the real kitchen or in the pretend kitchen! Messes are ok! Speaking of messes, Potty training is also in session! We are looking for someone closer to full time that can act as a nanny as well as take on some of the household responsibilities like light housekeeping and laundry during naps, small grocery shopping, dog walking, the odd dinner for the kids. Punctuality and reliability is a must. First aid, background check and references also required. Daily care taking will primarily be for my sweet, fun, outdoorsy 2.25 year old daughter, Olive, as my 5 year old son will be in school full time come September. He will need picked up by you and Olive from the bus a few blocks away at the end of the day. My husband works full time 9-6 downtown in the tech industry and bikes to work. I am an Architect and have my own practice. Since my return from maternity I have been working part time from home in my office downstairs, however, my work load is increasing and I'm finding it more and more difficult to fit 5 days of work into 2.5 as well as manage the household. I would prefer a nanny to a daycare situation as the extra help around the house is more useful to me. Schedule hours would be: Mon, tues, thurs 8am-5pm Wed - half day. Haven't confirmed hours yet. Friday (date night - day flexible) 5pm-10pm We live in Fairfield close to the beach and park and there is a network of nannies and kids that she has gotten used to playing with in the area. She loves being outdoors at the beach or park, library time, playgroup time, swimming, etc. I'm happy to sign her up for any other classes as well. She takes a 1.5 hour nap from 11:30-1 right now.
