Nanny in Bedford, Nova Scotia

I provide childcare at my dayhome in Bedford. I have been an elementary school teacher for years and teaching has been my first love. I have been fortunate, my clients have told me they would not switch providers after having me. They find me reliable, kind and gentle to their kids and responsible. We loosely follow a Montessori philosophy by nurturing and fostering natural interest and cognitive learning, encouraging exploration and problem solving skills. I believe that engaging them early in normal day to day activities paves the way for building confidence, cooperation, creativity, learning and leadership. Establishing routines help children feel safe, develop life skills and build healthy habits. Our daily activities include arts and crafts, music, sensory activities, story time, free play and outdoor play. Also introducing basic science and social development. We teach them life skills at a toddler age, encouraging their independence, social skills and prepare them for preschool. Ages 17 months and above
