As an accomplished babysitter, I have kept my CPR and First Aid up to date. I feel it is important to have this knowledge when working with children, as it can save their lives. While babies can be a challenge, I have techniques that I use that can calm even the most unsettled child. I believe in having a structured day that gives children a schedule that they can accustom themselves to. As an early childhood education major, I am more than qualified for the position you require. I have no objection doing additional chores while those under my care are either napping or occupied with a game, puzzle, or storybook because I feel it is important to keep the home environment functional and clean. I have been babysitting for about 30 years and a full time nanny for about 4yrs. I have had experience with children ages 6months to 15 years old. When I was younger I watched 4 children on a daily basis when they came home from school until 8:00pm. I helped them with their homework, fed them dinner, bathed the children, and put them in bed. I would also babysit on the weekends for a family who had a handicapped son. I helped with all of the above and made sure he received all of his medication.
