Hello my name is Hali Dawn Bartole. I am 27 years old and I am looking for a full time babysitting job. I am very good with children, I’ve been babysitting for 15 years now. I am a very reliable & trustworthy person. When I babysit I always clean up what messes the children or I make such as dishes/craft messes. I can help kids with their homework if needed, I am a good cook, I can bath kids/babies(if told too), I can put to bed, I can also look after babies. Since I’ve started babysitting All the children I have been privileged to babysit have absolutely loved me they have even asked their parents to call me to come in when they didn’t need me. I try and plan out my days with the kids if they are old enough to talk. I’ll ask them if they want to make some crafts(exspecially if holidays/birthdays are coming up), or if they would like to go for a walk, swimming, or to the park, or the Library. However I’ll always bring up and ask you if that would be okay with you before bringing it up. I always make sure what you expect of me gets done while I’m there. I also try to let your child(ren) tell me what they would enjoy to do for that day like say little Emily’s mom is working 2-10 pm and says when I get there Emily’s bedtime is at 830pm, you can choose whatever you want to make for supper, can you please make sure that she does her homework after school please. So when Emily gets home i’ll Have a snack made for her and I’ll sit down with her do her homework after that’s done I’ll ask something like what do you want to do, do you want to stay inside or go outside? Say they say I want outside I’ll ask what should we do outside you want to go for a walk(nature hunt sometimes) you want to go to the park. Then they decide then around 530 we usually head back and if you don’t tell me what I make for supper I’ll ask them what should we have? Chicken or hamburger and let them help me decide what’s for supper. And then we will do some crafts/ go back outside. Till around 7pm then I’ll get them to go shower if you wanted done and get their pjs on. And we would either watch Tv or a movie and start calming down for the day during that time if I’m expected to babysit the next day I’ll ask them what should we do tomorrow? And jot down ideas which I’d ask you if it would be okay if I did this tomorrow. Then if they would like me to read them a story before bed we would get to the bedroom around 8:15 pm I’ll read them a short story tuck them in and say goodnight. Then quietly clean up my dishes from supper and anything else that I haven’t done yet and wait for you to come home. I always try and keep them entertained and busy doing things they enjoy or new things they would be interested in trying that way they have a good day with me and their not sitting their bored out of their mind and getting into trouble. I try to be their friend to an extent. But in case they do act up I always say time out and get them to go to their room and depending on how old they are it might be for 5 mins to 10 mins then I’ll go and ask them why do they think I put them in their and let them tell me if they are wrong I’ll tell them the reason and then ask them to apologize to their sibling or to me or if they could please help clean up the mess they made then they can come out.
