Nanny Job in Toronto, Ontario

We are looking for someone special to support our family afterschool starting as soon as possible. My children are ages 9 and 11. One child has ADHD/learning disabilities and anxiety so we are looking for someone who has experience with high needs kids (ADHD, autism, etc.). You must be patient, open-minded, creative and not easily upset by challenging situations. If you have a social work background that would be very helpful and you MUST speak excellent english. You must have current First Aid, CPR and criminal reference check. It would also be helpful if you have your own car but not necessary. We are looking for someone to work from 3:30 - 6:00 pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and occasional Tuesdays. There may also be opportunity for occasional evening and weekend babysitting if you are interested. This position will be year round including summer. A typical day would include you meeting the kids at school at 3:30 pm and walking them home (we are about an 8 minute walk from the school). You would then prepare a healthy snack for the kids and they would have some time to play, use electronics, etc. Both kids will have homework and will require supervision for about 30 minutes. Once homework is finished, the kids are free to do what they like for the rest of the evening. They might want to read a book with you, do arts and crafts or play a board game. In the nicer weather, both kids love being outside, riding bikes, etc. I would like you to prepare dinner and, if there is time, do any light housekeeping that is required like tidying, sweeping the floor and washing up pots and pans from dinner preparation.
