Nanny Job in Burlington, Ontario

Family of three children (9, 7 and 5 years old) are seeking a fantastic, reliable nanny who can help us out after school during the 2017-201... school year. We are looking to pay between $15-$18 per hour, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will be bright, fun, energetic, safety-conscious and have great initiative, and ideally be with our family for a long time. The *mandatory* hours for the position would be from 3 pm to 6 pm for every school day. If you would like to work a few more hours, happy to discuss (in particular, we would love to find someone who could also help in the early mornings, but understand that might be hard to find)!. Duties will include: - picking the children up from school (2 minute walk) - taking the children to the playground, weather permitting - helping the children empty backpacks and get started with homework and chores - light housework as time allows (emptying dishwasher, starting laundry) - taking the (lovely, docile) dog for a short walk A few additional things to note: - please be aware that we must deduct income taxes, employment insurance and Canada Pension Plan premiums from your salary, as required by law. We will provide detailed summaries of deductions and payments made, and a T4 every tax year. - depending on your availability and interest in the summer (July/August), we can offer full time work then (40-45 hours per week). If you do work for us year-round, we will provide paid vacation time of three weeks, to be taken at a mutually agreed upon time. - we can provide up to three paid sick days and three paid personal days per calendar year. We are in south Burlington near Nelson Park) and whether you have your own transportation (we won't need you to drive the children, but would want to know if you're relying on public transportation, which unfortunately isn't excellent where we are).
