Nanny in Saint John, New Brunswick

I come from a large family, I am the oldest of six. Taking care of children started to evolve when my mother would often ask me to watch my siblings. If she had work, then at night I usually had to be "mommy", I have been through almost everything, including teething, colic, temper tantrums. However, my love for children continued to grow. I started volunteering for nurseries and daycare, I didn't mind not being paid. I genuinely love children of all ages, and am energetic and active enough to get and play on the floor with them. I love browsing new crafts or recipes to make with them, the sky is the limit for fun and learning. My parents didn't support my dream when I mentioned working with children, so I didn't start out working for families. I went to school for Pharmacology and lost interest of it. I wanted something to keep me active and busy; but also smiling. It was then I spent my summers sitting for twins, which gave me the happiness I wanted. I give 110% with all the children I work with, I interact with them, I make sure they are happy and learning. I have read so many books of the development in newborns, toddlers, and school aged children. No, I don't have a degree, but I go the extra mile to make sure they are reaching their potential. I am currently working on my bachelor's degree to become a kindergarten teacher. At this stage in time, I am focused more of the references of working with a family; than the pay itself. It is something that I have been told makes me stand out from other sitters/nannies.
