Nanny Job in Toronto, Ontario

Mom is heading back to work and we’re looking for a live-out caregiver to look after our 1 year old daughter and 3.5 year old son. Our son is very energetic and can be “spirited”. He is a kind-hearted boy with a natural curiosity for everything… he needs a structured approach and daily physical activity. He’s used to a very active home daycare environment with lots of learning, outdoor play, socialization and excursions to parks and drop-in centres. We want someone to continue this kind of experience to ensure he’s happy and stimulated. Our baby is very sweet-tempered and relaxed, but also needs socialization and stimulation as she continues to develop. We live in the Upper Beaches, close to many playgrounds and splash pads. We have a large playroom and a small backyard for play as well. We have a small, older dog (hypoallergenic) that does not require any additional care… just let her outside a couple of times a day. We’re looking for a caregiver that can keep up with both kids and balance their different needs and schedules. In September our son will start kindergarten, so duties will change to include picking him up from school (a few blocks away). And at that time, you may be asked to take the baby to a class, and help with meal prep or a little laundry. The position begins mid/late March 2018. Hours are slightly flexible, but 8-6 Monday to Friday would be ideal. CPR/First Aid training would be an asset. Salary is negotiable, based on experience and qualifications.
