Nanny in Ottawa, Ontario

Hello and nice to meet you! My name is Rachel, I am 19 years old and I am a student at the University of Ottawa enrolled in the Bachelor of Science Nursing program. Having worked in a nursing home each summer as a Personal Support Worker I believe I understand what it takes to be a caregiver and meet the full requirements a family is looking for to nanny their children. Additionally, with having a 2-year-old niece, I have had all sorts of experience in taking care of all types of individuals at different age ranges. I am capable of diaper changing, initiating activities such as going for walks and play time outdoors, engaging in board games, assisting your children with their homework and, doing meal preparations. Along with all this information regarding your children, I am also comfortable with pets having grown up with them all my life. A highlight to my application is being trained to have a CPR and First Aid certificate that I update each year and I also have clinical experience within a hospital setting. A personal aspect to having experience with health is that I am a Type 1 Diabetic, so I understand the importance of my disease and regulating it. Having this life long health disability allows me to pay close attention to others disabilities and health complications that need to be taken into account for their daily lives.
