Hello there :-) My name is Callahan, but I go by Calli. I am a 21 year old woman who recently graduated from Quest University in Squamish, BC with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences – my speciality being neuroscience! I am looking for a fun and caring family to work closely with from July through November 2019, but am open to other time frames as well. During this window, I am available FULL TIME. December is when I need to be back at my school in Squamish to finish up a final credit, but am again available after this time. I was a day camp counsellor for two consecutive summers back in Ontario, where I'm from. In this time I learned a lot about working with children – including children with a variety of disabilities, both physical and mental. I am CPR-C certified (CPR and basic First Aid), but am more than willing to take a full Standard First Aid course before working with your family! This applies as well for background checks – let me know if you're seriously interested, and I will acquire that for you. Besides working with upwards of 15 children a day for 2 entire summers, I have babysitting experience with family friends, since I was 14 years old. I am comfortable working with up to 5 children in a household: infants to teenagers. A little more about me... I love to learn, draw, relax in the sunshine, and (obviously) hang out with kids! I love goofing around and having fun with kids, but understand the limits and still maintain a high level of responsibility on the job.
