About me! I would consider myself an active and energetic individual. I enjoy hiking, swimming, biking, running, river surfing, dancing, rock climbing, downhill skiing, basketball, baseball and slacklining to name a few! I have 5 years experience teaching swimming to children aged 6 months-18 years, including children with learning disabilities. I graduated last spring from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor in Medical Sciences with an intercultural engagement honor. I love to learn and pursue academics as I find a lot of excitement in analysing and evaluating current ideas and research. During my time in university I also worked alongside Emergency Medical Services as medical responder. I have over 2000 hours of practical first aid experience so I will keep your kids safe! I have developed strong critical thinking skills and an ability to work well with new people through my experience as a wildland firefighter this past summer. In this job we are assigned to crews of 4 and are sent to fight wildfires via helicoptor. This job teaches you to act independantly while always watching out for your teammates.
