Meaning, you will be required to work varied hours during the 14 days with no set schedule but will always have 6-7 days off on the rotation and this will be pre determined. If having 6 days in a row off every 2 weeks appeals to you - let's proceed :) We are looking for a live-in Nanny/Child Care Giver. The successful individual will be providing care to our two sons. They are aged 3.5 and 5 years. They are the best of friends and nurturing this relationship is a large priority in our family. They both attend school in the morning and the oldest will also be attending kindergarten in the afternoons come september. They are busy with activities including karate, swimming, skating and hockey and we will require assistance with transportation to these, so a driver's license is also a requirement of employment. A vehicle for the transportation of the children will be provided. We very much would like to maintain a low electronic device and moderate television home so engagement of the children is very important. Outside play and outings including park and play places are also going to be encouraged. Main duties • Supervise and care for our children at our residence • Bathe, dress and feed the kids • Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings to provide amusement and exercise • Oversee children's activities, such as during play, meals and rest periods as required • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development • Attend to the emotional well-being of children • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents • Plan, prepare and serve meals for children and may perform other housekeeping duties • Assist the older child to read/study in English and French • Take children to and from school and appointments • Perform other housekeeping duties and maintain a healthy environment in the home • May be required to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding each child. Employment requirements • Completion of at least some post-secondary education. • Child-care or household management experience is required. • Demonstrated ability to perform work as required. • First aid certification and CPR training. We are a warm and friendly family. We are very busy at the same time and require someone with whom we cannot only trust deeply but also rely on at all times to be there and to do what they say they will do. Our children need a friend, mentor and general guidance driven by strong morals and good common sense, if you think you can deliver on the above then you might be the right nanny for us. You will find our home very comfortable. While we have high expectations we also have a high level of understanding and compassion, and provide a great deal of support to our family members including our nanny.
