If I do not have experience in a particular field (for example, your child has a disorder with which I am unfamiliar), I love to learn, take direction and rise above and beyond any challenge. I have skills which will enable me to thrive in this environment and my strengths of caring, nurturing and emotional intelligence will play a pivotal role as a nanny. Thank you for your consideration! I am co-director of a summer camp that provides a vacation destination to families who have typical children and children with special needs. I am responsible for taking large groups of children (up to 15) and engaging in activities such as sports, hiking, canoeing, baking, cooking, arts and crafts and music. The ages of children I have worked with range in age from 6 months to 18 years and I look forward to having fun and forming connections! I am a certified teacher and have taught up to 25 students in a classroom the Ontario based curriculum. I was a former piano teacher and was responsible for teaching children age 7-9 (both typical and those with autism) how to play piano to a high degree of proficiency.
