Nanny in Toronto, Ontario

My name is Abby and I am a 26-year-old full-time Catering & Event Manager, working in the Globe & Mail Conference Centre. I went to Wilfrid Laurier University, where I got my BA in Psychology. Throughout my university career, I worked as a nanny. Care-giving is a job that I can truly enjoy. I love kids and look forward to having my own some day. In Waterloo, I cared for a three-year-old girl 3 times a week for my third year of school. I finished my degree online and so I moved back to Toronto where I took care of 2 young children (boy and girl, 2 and 5) for a year and a half. Being five years older than my youngest sister, I babysat her through my pre-teenage and high school years. I also babysat for her friends, countless neighbours, and little cousins. I am comfortable with any age group (6 months and up). In 2013 i volunteered for eight months at English at First Preschool, located in Waterloo, exposed me to much interaction with babies under 12 months. My position in the baby/toddler daycare room involved entertaining, feeding, and putting the babies down for a nap. My availability is outside of my work hours (Monday - Friday; 8-9 am. - 4-5 pm).
