Nanny Job in Guelph, Ontario

I am looking for someone who can take care of my 2 year old son and my 7 year old daughter in our home. I am posting this job ad on Friday, 28 October, 2016 and am looking for someone ASAP. There is some flexibility to my schedule, but ideally 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Mondays and 2:00 p.m. - 7 p.m. on Wednesdays would work well. If you could work 12:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. on the occasional Friday, that would be helpful. If you were available at other times occasionally as well, such as an evening here and there, that would be helpful, too. My son is a lovely, sweet child. He is very curious, full of laughter, very industrious, and a good listener. He loves to play with his trains and trucks and to work hard in his kitchen. He loves visits to the park and playing in the sandbox. We have a great back yard and a park up the street. My daughter is a big helper and a wonderful child as well. She loves lego and books. Both of them love to cook and bake. My son takes a nap in the afternoon. I would ask that you do light housekeeping (loading the dishwasher, tidying up toys) when he is napping, unless my daughter is home and you could play with her. The things that are important to us when looking for someone for this position are: 1. great with children - I need someone who adores children and who is going to be adored by my children. My kids will respond best to someone who is kind, fun, creative, loving, and respectful. 2. creative - someone who loves to do crafts and baking with kids and who loves to engage them outside in nature 3. reliability and punctuality - I will have appointments to go to and once we agree on times for a day, I really need you to be on time. 4. maturity - this doesn't have to do with age, but with how engaged you are in doing this work and with how effectively you can do the work 5. committed - I would prefer someone who could work for us for an extended period of time; at least 2 years would be ideal. It would be great to show you the ropes and have you run with these for awhile. It is also important for our children to have consistency with a caregiver. 6. ability to drive (my car is fine) and cook are preferred If this position interests you, I hope to hear from you soon!
