Nanny Job in Calgary, Alberta

Family with one pre-teen child is seeking a reliable, flexible and engaging nanny who is responsible and mature. We reside in Springbank, Alberta so there is no public transit to our house. Candidate must have a valid driver's license and clean driving abstract. Please note that a vehicle will be provided by the employer. Optional accommodation available but NOT a condition of employment. Candidate will work 44 hours a week with overtime required when parents are away on holiday. We are seeking applicants with 1-2 years of experience as a nanny who have a secondary diploma and capable of easily communicating in English. Salary: $12.50/hour Responsibilities: - Driving to and from school and to appointments; - Tend to the emotional well-being of the child; - Organize activities, games and outings; - Prepare and serve nutritious meals; - Supervise and care for the child; - Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home; - Discipline the child according to the methods requested by the parents; - Shop for food and household supplies; - Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens; - Travel with family on trips and assist with supervision of the child; - Preform light housekeeping and cleaning duties; - Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents; - Care for the family cat and dog.
