Nanny Job in Sudbury, Ontario

I'm an
Individual
Hello! We are looking for a fun, active, positive, and flexible part time nanny in Sudbury to provide childcare for our son, Thomas, and support for me (Andrea) with a new baby coming in May 2024! We have a full time au pair but it is helpful to have an extra set of hands to help us occasionally. We are looking for someone who can help out with a range of tasks and enjoy spending time taking care of our son, but also with a positive attitude and generally being very helpful around the house. In the winter, the activities we spend time doing are skiing (both downhill and cross country) skidooing on the lakes/trails, winter walks with our dog (Timber) and travelling, while in the summer we are primarily by a lake, so lots of swimming, saunas, paddleboarding, boating, tennis, hiking/walking. We love spending time with friends and our extended family, and so often have big groups of people around (including many nieces and nephews). Thomas is going to be 20 months old in February, and a pretty happy and easygoing little toddler so far. He is a good sleeper, loves to be outside, runs everywhere and smiles a lot. It's hard to define a 'typical' day for us, as our schedules change quite a bit, but we would expect you to be flexible in supporting us as needed to care for Thomas when we're working, and to help out with various chores like cooking, groceries, laundry, tidying the house, cleaning up after meals etc. We do have cleaning staff who come and do the majority of the work but having an extra pair of hands helping keep things tidy is important. A typical day would have you taking Thomas around 8:30 / 9am, and then doing breakfast, followed by various activities, then lunch, then nap (2-3 hours in the afternoon), and then prepping dinner and finishing by 5:30/6pm. Although that sounds pretty structured, it really depends on where we are and what we have planned, as well as who is around (friends/family), so it is important that you are flexible and have a positive attitude, willing to support us on a variety of tasks. It may also vary a bit as I (Andrea) will be on Maternity leave and so when the new baby arrives, you would spend some time helping with the new baby as well! We look forward to meeting and getting to know you!
