Nanny in Toronto, Ontario

I have recently left the full-time nanny world to put more time and energy into my art and my own endeavours. I'm available for occasional babysitting closer to my neighbourhood, High Park. I have spent nearly three years as a nanny to a lovely family in the east end and am looking for some work closer to home, to lessen my commute. I love children and enjoy spending time with them. I love the ideas and games they come up with and I find their imaginations fascinating! I love the outdoors and spend time outside all year round. I am active and believe children should be as well, but I also like to build forts and have movie days and quiet reading time. I love helping kids and watching them learn and grow but I also love being silly and messy from time to time! I feel it's important for children to explore their neighbourhood and their city and I like taking them on outings every week, from museums and the Science Centre to new parks and neighbourhoods. I love to explore and discover new things and encourage children to do this as well! Most recent experience is that of a full-time nanny to a lovely family of two children. I've been with this family for almost three years and started when the youngest was 12 months and the eldest was in Kindergarten. For the past year I've also cared for an additional toddler as a nanny share. Duties have included taking the eldest child to and from school; preparing lunches and snacks daily; monitoring homework; reading, working on spelling and printing; helping out with french; taking the children on outings once a week (ex ROM, Science Centre); doing crafts, playing games, playing dress-up; going swimming; and taking classes with the younger child (such as Yoga).
