I have always enjoyed working with children thoroughly! I am a very creative patient individual who also enjoys storytelling and puppetry. Throughout my work with children I have always viewed myself as very punctual and organized. I find it\'s a necessity for me to write down instructions. I have never been an individual who can process a whole lot of instructions or directions all at the same time very quickly. It\'s a lot better for me to have them written down step by step so that I am clear on what they are. I am a big believer on using different strategies when doing jobs and I\'m a hard worker! I have always been very good at open communication and I enjoy working with other people. I am a very social person and I like to be organized. Whenever I am caring for children I enjoy interacting and playing with them. I have never been a big believer in sitting children in front of the television for hours on end. I think it\'s a lot better to do creative activities with the kids and to go outside if the weather is right! In my mind it\'s very important for children to have different activities throughout the day for their development to grow! I trained in college and worked for seven years in day care with children from the ages of 3 months - 10 years. I had the duties daily of supervision, feeding, changing and entertaining groups of 5-10 children. I planned the curriculum of daily preschool. I also have the professional qualifications of an Educational Assistant who works one on one with children with special needs in schools. For the past eleven years I have been a Guider with Girl Guides of Canada leading groups of girls between the ages of 5-8 years old.
