I\'d just like to start with the fact that I love working with children. I want to end my nursing career in the paediatric field and I believe spending some extra time working with them will be a great experience for me. I am willing to travel to your home, as well as activities outside the homes (playground, day trips etc.) I have just graduated from a practical nursing program and my First Aid and CPR certificates are up to date. I wouldn\'t mind preparing meals, or doing a bit of housekeeping either! I\'d really love the chance to speak with you about the opportunity to spend the next couple months helping you out and spending time with your kids. I've provided over night care for some kids, as well as through out the day for parents that have to work, or have running around to do. I am able to prepare healthy meals and snacks, as well as activities to keep the kids busy and having fun. I have just graduated college and have received my practical nursing diploma. In my first year I spent two days a week within a nursing home or hospital setting caring for elderly patients. My responsibilities would be to get them up and washed, ready for breakfast, feed some of them, take them to their exercises, monitor their health status, and just spend time talking with them and keeping them company. During my second year I had a placement in the community where I would travel to patients and provide them with care in their homes, and my final summer placement was at a paediatric hospital where I was responsible for a full (3) patient assignment, which included providing nursing care and administering ordered medications. I would say that this exposed me to a whole new level of caring, and responsibility and has further prepared me for my further in caring for children.
