Hello, I recently moved to Nanaimo and am looking to connect with 1 or a few families that are looking for a part-time caregiver or an occasional babysitter. I have a flexible schedule (days, evenings and weekends). I have 12 years experience as a nanny and genuinely love kids and child related activities. I have experience caring for children of all ages from newborn to age 14 as well as twins. I also have extensive experience with infants and quite a soft spot for babies. Enjoy some time away from home knowing that an experienced and mature person is caring for your children. I am also outdoorsy and I would love to be able to explore Nanaimo with a little sidekick or two. I can provide up to date CPR and a criminal background check as well as great references. Kathleen was our first nanny and set a very high standard for subsequent nannies. She was loving and warm with our children and would come up with daily adventures for them. There was never a day that she didn't have something planned for them and we always knew that our kids were safe, well cared for and happy when in her care. Our children have a large gap in ages and she was able to bridge that gap effectively and relate to each of them at their levels. When Kathleen started with our family our youngest was less than 6 months old and she did an amazing job of transitioning him. Kathleen has a strong work ethic which was evident in her taking the initiative to do more household items when the kids were napping. Our house was always clean (usually cleaner than when we left it) and she was willing to help in whatever way she could. Kathleen was a pleasure to have working with our children. She truly felt like part of our family and really went above and beyond in so many ways while working for us. She would be a welcome addition into any family.
