I am a caring individual that strives to ensure that I am only a positive influential role model that ensures that all children within my care are given only respect, presented with positive learning experiences, as well as encouraged to complete tasks and/or activities independently or with minimal prompting as required. I enjoy working with children of all ages and take pride in using all opportunities to teach the individuals that are in my care any skills the parents and/or guardians would like me to teach in addition to any skills that will ensure the child will be able to complete tasks independently. While teaching individuals, I use least to most prompting to ensure that tasks are successfully completed by the individual under my care. I have experience working with children, adolescents, & adults with varying levels of developmental disabilities. My college program focused on assessing the needs of the individuals I work with and determining the most successful method of teaching functional skills to the individuals I serve.
