I am a 20 year old female currently going into her second year of university due to the fact that I deferred a year of school to care for my ill father. I am the middle child of two sisters. Some of my interests include dance, yoga, pilates, cooking, blogging, and socializing with friends. I am a very responsible and friendly person who has a lot of experience in caring for others both younger and older. Due to my parents hectic work schedules I learnt from a young age how to be independent and reliable and was put in charge of caring for my little sister by performing tasks such as picking her up from school, helping her with homework, cooking her dinner, and making sure she was in bed on time. At the age of 16 I got my babysitting license and began babysitting children around my neighbourhood. I take pride in my ability to dedicate myself to my work and provide my full attention to detail. Cared for my little sister due to parents hectic work schedule. My duties were to pick her up from school, help her with her homework, clean household, make her dinner, get her ready for bed, and make sure she was asleep on time. Babysat 5 year old next door neighbour for a few years. I would pick him up from school and make him a snack and help him with his homework until his mother was home from work. I also babysat a 2 year old boy. My responsibilities with that family were to pick the child up from school, make him dinner, and clean the household. I was also in charge of planning activities for us to do on such as visit the zoo or go to the beaches for a day. Cared for a young boy and girl on weekend nights for a single mother. I would organize games and make the children dinner. Then make sure they were in bed on time.
