I absolutely LOVE children of all ages and abilities! I have been working with children for 10 years, since I was able to babysit. Every job I have ever had has something to do with children or animals. I have experience in educational and recreational settings, with children of typical development and children who have disabilities. I am familiar with developmental milestones (with a personal interest in language acquisition), as well as teaching theories. Babysitting: working with children ages 6 months to 12 years Summer camp: residential camps and day camps, working with children of all ages and disabilities Recreational programs (after school, weekends): All children, all abilities Swimming lessons: Taught swimming for 2 years, everything from parent and tot classes to advanced classes Pre school: Teacher's aide in a special needs class At-home aide: for children with special needs, ages 2 and 5 (following therapy requirements) Community aide: children aged 2-10, all special needs, various abilities, aide in gymnastics and swimming
