I first started looking after family friends children, I've been a live-out nanny to a little 4 year old boy since he was 3 weeks old. I've been a camp counselor looking after a down syndrome boy and in the nursery! I have also participated in the co-op program at school where I had a very positive experience at both a day care where there was a little autistic boy and a kindergarten class where there was a little girl with a chromosomal disorder.
