Hello Nanny Seeking Family! My name is Meagan, and my family and I recently moved back to Victoria. I have a very well behaved and loving two year old daughter and I would very much like to have up to three more children (from one family) join us in our daily playing, learning, and laughing! My work experience includes serving and food prep, Silva culture and commercial crop tree seedling growing, landscaping, retail, and administration. For the last three years I have been farming and being a mom! I feel that this is my niche, nurturing and helping children to grow. I am a classically trained singer, and I love including music in daily life. I’m also a nature lover who like to get out and be active. My passion for farming and producing food is very exciting for my daughter and her friends. We have a flock of sheep in West Saanich and many farming friends. I sew, and felt, spin, and knit with wool. I’ve made jewellery and love crafting. When it comes to food, we lean toward yummy organic and not overly processed options. We like to bake and cook with nutrition in mind. Of course delicious food is important too! I babysat often as a teenager, and took my ‘What every Babysitter should know’ course. I had many clients, including a regular afternoon with a little girl from when she was under a year to over two years old. I enjoyed the arrival of my brother and sister in my teen years. My babysitting course taught infant and child CPR, but I would be willing to get my CPR certification. Through the same course we learned about first aid, and as I birthed and raised young animals I solidified some of these skills, such as wound dressing, caring for weaker individuals, and emergency management. I would be happy also to become certified in first aid, if desired. I also took my swimming classes and finished the red cross colour levels, including the CPR taught in those classes. I have been driving for ten years, and I have my own vehicle. I took Young Driver’s training, and haven’t had any accidents. I finished high school and took some first year university level courses. I am always interested I learning new things, and I try to encourage endless curiosity in children! I am a non-smoker. My availability could be wide open during the week, as long as I may bring my daughter with me. Occasional weekends could be arranged, but we usually reserve weekends for our family to be together. For the most part I would prefer being based from the family’s home. I am open to caring for children of any age, from infants to school age. Does it sound like I might be a match for your family?
