Nanny in London, Ontario

Hello! My name is Sierra Tjepkema and I am a professional nanny. I am someone with a passion for working with and supporting children and their families. I have 9 years of experience as a nanny and a degree in Child and Youth Studies from the University of Western Ontario. I am also the co-founder and operator of a small business Practically Perfect Nannies & Caregivers. I provide services and advice to families across Southern Ontario when it comes to hiring a nanny. In addition to this I am also looking for a nanny position. As a nanny, my philosophy in practice was the same as the theory I studied: give children the opportunity to be children and they will amaze you! I supervised as many as 3 children at a time ranging from infant to 9 years old. I consistently received positive feedback from parents for my ability to collaborate with them by seeking instructions and utilizing their knowledge of their children while also displaying initiative when planning activities and developing strategies to support the children and family unit. My most recent nanny experience was for a family in Hamilton, ON. I was with this family for nearly 5 years and supervised their 3 children. I also planned lots of fun activities for them as I am a very hands-on nanny. I pride myself on always planning activities and attending community programs such as early on or library programs. I can also provide light housekeeping duties and meal prep. My goal is to assist the family unit in any way possible. I am seeking a live-out, full time or part-time position. My focus is to become an extension of the family unit. I have First Aid and CPR-C, a valid driver's' license and access to a car. I am also willing to obtain a new vulnerable sector check.
