Hello Moms and Dads looking for a little extra help! My name is Ryan Shea. I am extremely energetic and enthusiastic, usually the kids have a hard time keeping up with me! I have tons of experience as my specialty is to specialize in everything when it comes to children,youth and families as I love to learn, dive into new experiences and be prepared. I hope you read all about me as I am an open book and if you have any questions please feel free to ask. My first major responsibility caring for children was in 2008 as an over night camp counselor. There was 12 children to every 2 counselors 6 days a week. We slept in teepees and all of our activities were outdoor bases, swimming, horse back riding, hiking etc! Very exciting and rewarding times for all! The children were mostly underprivileged, disabled or under some sort of protection agency, the ages were between 6-16. I worked there for 3 years and then received the honor of being asked back as a camp manager. I could not accept that experience due to moving away to Vancouver Island. Since my stay in Vancouver Island I have volunteered in various of Elder home, Day cares, food bank, helping the homeless and youth drop in center. At the youth drop in center I co-organized a Youth Success Builder Course which allowed at risk youth to gain courses and personal knowledge that will further there career paths. The courses included food safe, first aid, self defensive, personal virtues etc there were 11 courses in total and was 3 months in duration. I also sat in the courses and assisted the youth achieve success. I have plenty of experience working with newborns, little ones and new mothers within the center and on my free time. I babysit for a lot of single parents or parents just needing a break :) I am accepted to Vancouver Island University in the Child and Youth Care studies course at which I am working on completing.
