Hello families, My name is Monika and I am a responsible, creative and interactive child-minder. Here\'s a little bit about me: I am a wild foods enthusiast! I enjoy foraging for healing \'\'weeds\'\' that grow right in our backyards. I believe that nature is very healing and aim to spend as much time as possible in the outdoors. I enjoy spending time in the kitchen cooking healthy food. I create simple but scrumptious vegetarian and meat dishes enjoyed by children and adults alike. Although I don\'t yet have children of my own, I played a significant role in raising my younger brother and cousins. I really do think that it \'\'takes a village to raise a child\'\'. I don\'t approach nanny-ing as just a job; my goal is to bond with the children I work with and become a helpful and supportive person in their lives. I have always enjoyed reading about the parenting process and strongly believe in attachment parenting and gentle childrearing. Children are little humans and they deserve to be treated with respect. I believe that positive and gentle guidance is the most effect \'\'discipline\'\' for children. I express my creativity through cooking, writing poetry and making crafts out of objects found in nature. I will happily engage in these processes with your children! I speak English and Polish fluently and have a working knowledge of French. I am actively working towards fluency in the French language. My most recent experience working with children was a 6-month contract teaching English to 6-10 year-olds in a seaside town in northern France.
