Hello everyone! My name is Heather and I have just completed my second year studying biological sciences at the University of Guelph! After the completion of my undergrad I am hoping to pursue a career in a medical field. I grew up dancing and am currently on a competitive dance team. Over the past few years I have mentored aspiring dancers, sparking my passion for working with children. I also have experience babysitting and as being a camp counselor. I babysat a boy diagnosed with ADHD from ages 2-10 for 4-6 hours at a time. My responsibilities included preparing meals, planning and participating in recreational activities, assisting with schoolwork, and maintaining personal hygiene. I also taught two dance classes. The first composed of nine children ages 4-6, and the second composed of twelve children ages 7-11. I monitored the class, keeping order, while maintaining an entertaining environment. I have also worked as a camp counselor at a summer dance camp where I supervised a group of up to fifteen children participating in dance, drama, and singing activities.
