Hello I am an experienced childcare worker, looking for long-term employment with a great family. I began looking after children as a teenager minding neighborhood children. During summer months of high school and college I have lived with different families as an Aupair or as a Mother's Helper. I have spent 13 months abroad in Sweden working as a live-in caretaker. I have also worked part-time in a day home for children aged 1 to 6 years. I have experience with children from the ages of 4 months to 12 years. I am a fun, active, and creative young woman. I have done much camping and many outdoor pursuits. I also was certified as a Lifeguard with the Canadian Red Cross, so I am well versed in first aid and CPR. My first language is English but I am also fluent in French, as well as able to speak a tiny bit of German, and I've become nearly fluent in Swedish. I have always made it a priority to create an environment and working relationship that meets both mine and my employers expectations. Being open-minded to new duties and situations has enabled a me to develop deep and lasting relationships with my past employers. I am very fond of children and hope to have many of my own some day.
