Nanny in London, Ontario

I'm an
Individual
Hello! I hope that you have had a chance to review my profile carefully. I have extensive experience in working with children and individuals with special needs. If we choose to work with each other you can be rest assured that I will treat your children like my own and provide them with loving care, nurturing attention, and fun activities. I also am an animal lover and if you have pets I will be the same with them. With my background I am happy to be your ‘house manager’ and will do whatever is required to make your life run smoothly and efficiently. There are not many situations that I feel unqualified to deal with so you can feel confident that everything is under control and your family is well cared for. I look forward to meeting you and working with you soon! Cheers! Samantha From 1990 -19... I worked at an agency serving children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities. During that time I worked in residential, respite and recreational settings with medically fragile children and adults requiring specialized supports and care. I assisted them with all personal care, hygiene, feeding, administration of medications, enemas, exercises, and preparation of meals. In addition I coordinated recreational activities within the homes and out in the community. In 1998 I assisted some friends who were in the military and needed childcare while they were out in the field doing training exercises for weeks at a time. This family had an infant and a toddler. My duties included feeding the infant every few hours, nightly feedings, changing of diapers, laundry, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. I also took the toddler to daycare every day. I provided the children with loving care and attention while their parents were away. From 1998-199... I worked for A World for Children in Texas as a Foster Care Support Worker. In this role I developed meaningful relationships with the children and youth in care, ensured their safety and happiness in their foster homes, advocated on their behalf within the child welfare system. I also supervised the foster homes, mentored new foster parents on the children’s emotional issues and trauma and taught child behaviour management techniques. From 2000-200... I worked for the Children’s Aid Society as a Family Intervention worker and Foster Care Support Worker. In these roles I assisted families in crisis, provided counselling, and assisted them with child behaviour management techniques. I also supervised new foster homes, taught foster parents about child development and attachment theory and provided behaviour management support. I have babysat and provided childcare for many of my friends over the years as well.
