Hello, My name is Natasha, and I have hust completed my first year at Humber College in the Child and youth care program. January ’12- April ‘12- Wedgewood Junior School: • I worked in a JK and SK classroom with a four year old that has extremely low autism, where his teachers, fellow outdoor agencies and myself would brain storm and come up with plans that would help him emotionally and socially. September 2009- June 2011- Christ the King- Peer Mentor and Best buddy program: • I work in a grade ten classroom, teaching youth about social skills and coming up with activities that would benefit them. • I offered them emotional and educational support. In my two final years of High School I worked in three JK and SK classes, helping children with reading, writing and fine motor skills. I have worked in a grade one classroom preparing them for grade two. • The Best buddy program is working with youth that have emotional/social problems or special needs, where you would be assigned a buddy and you go out for lunch or hang out with them.
