Nanny in Toronto, Ontario

Hello! My name is Katie and I am a 19-year old student currently attending Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. I have spent my last three summers working at YMCA Camp Wanakita, an overnight summer camp, as a children's counsellor for two years. In the past summer I worked as a supervisor, organizing and helping run the program for young campers staying for one week. At my time at Wanakita, I also lived one-on-one with a 12-year old girl with Down Syndrome, providing her 24-hour care. At Queen's I have volunteered with an organization called "Making Waves" in which each week I taught a young, mentally disabled boy, how to swim at the local swimming pool. Therefore, I can say that I am very experienced with children ages 6-13 with various levels of mental and physical ability. At Queen's I am currently working towards my degree in Life Sciences, hoping to get involved in the Health Care field. That being said, I also am certified with CPR-C, and First Aid. I have my National Lifeguard Certification, and can receive my recertification before it expires if needed. I am a very kind, energetic, and happy, and love children! My work at summer camp, volunteering experience, and degree have given me the tools and allowed me to grow my love for children and health care. I live close to Downtown Toronto in the summers, and will be available from the end of April to September 2016. Thank you for your time!
