Dear Host I am writing to express my interest in the position of Nanny, as advertised. I have a Certificate in Adult and child care and extensive experience as a nanny and child minder, starting from my high school days as a part-time babysitter to three professional nanny positions both here and Abroad. I have attached letters of recommendation from all three employers, who have all commended me for my mature, responsible and professional way of caring for their children. One of these positions involved caring for a baby under the age of two. In addition, my childcaring skills have been honed through years of caring for both immediate and extended family. I have two younger siblings who I have always cared and cooked for, and have minded many young nieces and nephews, including infants – we’re a big family! I have always loved children and find nothing more rewarding than caring for them. I have excellent communication and organisational skills and I pride myself on creating a positive, happy environment in which children can thrive. I have recently returned from overseas and am eager to get back to the work I love. I simply cannot say enough about how Dorcas and what she has meant to our children and our family for the past three years. My children, now age 9, 11, and 18, have grown up in her care. Dorcas took care of them while I and my husband were at work. When my daughter Grace who suffered from learning disabilities, she gave her her confidence and spent time working closely with her, she has improved tremendously. In addition, she supported my eldest son until he got into college and has excellent grades. Other neighbours are pleased to have her coach/teach their children during holidays. Dorcas has done more than mere child support worker could do. While the children are in school Dorcas help manage my Hair and Beauty Spa. Among her strength are her punctuality and commitment. Dorcas is also very thoughtful, always remember ing important dates in the lives of my children and bringing them cards, gift and notes of encouragement.
