I'm a mature woman who is playful, warm, sensitive, and reliable. I love to engage with children rather than just passively watch over them. I enjoy being active (playing in the park, going for bike rides, playing board games, etc.), although an occasional TV show or movie is fun too. I believe in the power of play for learning. I am a crafter and writer, and love music, dancing, and being in nature, so I enjoy doing any of these activities with children. Although if a child needs and likes quiet time, I will create a safe space for them to have that. In addition to many years of childcare experience, I have over 30 years of work experience in the non-profit sector and have worked with people from diverse backgrounds. I communicate with respect and a sense of equality with adults as well as children. I have a university degree in sociology from University of Toronto and a diploma in Peace and Conflict Studies from University of Waterloo. I have lots of availability but am primarily looking for part-time work. I am happy to provide light housekeeping, pet care, and other errands/tasks to your household, including organizing, yard work, and more.
