I look forward to hearing from you. About Me: My name is Julianna Boocock. I am currently a student at Western University in my first year of the Teacher's College Program. In 2022, I graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Child, Youth and Family Studies. I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator, and I am in good standing with the college. Growing up, I participated in many activities. I played baseball, soccer, did gymnastics, dance and Girl Guides. I have always loved working with children. From babysitting, to tutoring to working at summer camps and a co-op placement in a grade two class, my love for working with children continues to grow. I am a very organized, patient and dependable person and would be an asset to your family. Previous Experience: I have been a nanny since 2019. I have worked with three different families during this time. I have experience working with a wide range of ages. I love planning daily activities for children and coming up with creative and engaging ways to keep children entertained during the day. This school year, I had an amazing opportunity to do a placement at an elementary school in London in a grade one/two classroom for eight weeks. During this placement I was able to plan a variety of lessons, teach, and build relationships with the students in the classroom. I worked with a variety of students with varying needs and was able to build on my behaviour management skills. Education Description: I graduated from high school in June 2018 with honours and as an Ontario Scholar. I graduated from the University of Guelph with my Bachelor of Applied Science, majoring in Child, Youth and Family Studies. I am in my first year of Teachers College and hope to achieve my Bachelor of Education in April 2025. My courses and experiences have all given me much insight into infant and child development, how to engage students in meaningful ways, and how to best deal with difficult decisions.
