Hello! I am a 28-year-old Carleton University graduate with a major in Child Studies and minor in psychology. I also have a certificate of fluency in American Sign Language. My preferred child care method resembles a Montessori approach as I place high value on encouraging a child's independence. I understand that each child has their own unique personality, style, and individualized needs and should be treated with respect and dignity. I have over 4 years experience working as an educator in a licensed childcare facility as well as experience nannying for two and a half years working with children from 6 months to 6 years old. I have experience with twins. I consider myself to be engaging, responsive, and cheerful. I have over 10 years experience through babysitting and living in a home daycare, in providing stimulating child care with children ages 6 months to 11 years. I am First Aid/CPR certified.
