Volunteer Caregiver for special children 14 Years(1999 January – 2013 June) Duties:  Assist the child in his tasks (ex.: artworks).  Encourage self-help & independence in personal care (brushing teeth every meal & hand washing).  Provide creative activities (hand painting, outdoor sports).  Help boost self-esteem by accomplishing his task & praising the child by hanging his work & saying “well done” or “good job”.  Help instill values by reading books, discussing the morals of a story, praying. Child Caregiver for pre-schoolers 2 Weeks (2008 February 4 – 2008 February 15) Duties:  Welcome the children & help them settle in the classroom.  Lead and assist children in praying and exercise.  Lead singing & recitation of nursery rhymes.  Assist the children in completing creative activities and school work.  Encourage respect, cooperation, self-help & independence.  Teach the child cleanliness and tidying up (washing hands & tidying toys).  Help the child gain interest in his surrounding & explore it safely. Live-in caregiver for 2 toddlers (age 2 and 3) 1 Month and 2 Weeks(2013 August 1 – Present) Duties:  Assist the kids in bath, brushing their teeth, flossing, changing clothes, & diapers.  Assist the kids during meal time.  Potty train by giving rewards (cookies & gummy bears).  Give vitamins.  Walk the kids.  Keep the kids safe and secure while playing & in the park.  Provide creative and stimulating activities throughout the day like paper folding, water color, reading books, ball games, and reviewing the alphabets, numbers, colors, season, personal information, name of objects & activities.  Teach the child to wear clothes & tie his shoes.  Teach cleanliness like washing hands and tidying toys.  Accompany the kids to watch entertaining & educational movies.  Teaching to say “Thank you”, “Please”, “Excuse me”, “I’m sorry”.
