I have had a lot of experience working with children. From a young age, I would say in my early teens, I started babysitting until I secured a part-time retail position. When I was in University I worked as an assistant teacher at a private Montessori school for two summers in a row. During regular school hours I would assist the class teacher in duties such as: • Assisted teachers in executing daily activities • Supervised children individually and in a group • Mediated between parents and teachers; assisted in the overall development of the students • Mentored one-on-one students for those requiring special attention • Acted as a summer camp leader during summer months while regular teachers were away on vacation • Have supervised children from ages: infant-grade 8
