I have worked as a day camp leader, as a basketball coach as well as a babysitter and nanny on numerous occasions. I am currently a part time student at Vancouver Island University. My schedule takes up about 90 minutes each week day. I am out every day before 1130am. As a child I had a nanny and I saw firsthand what a great experience having one can be. The opportunity to put the same smile I once experienced on the faces of a new generation appeals so much to me. I can multitask well and can comfortably work alone with up to 15 children. Duties Included: walking the children to and from school. Cooking, cleaning, activity co-ordination. Private Family (Spring of 2009) Part time Nanny for an infant. Duties included: taking care of the baby on call from the time she was two months until the time she was 2 years. (changing diapers, feeding both pumped milk and formula, eventually baby food as well) Albanese Family (Various times throughout 2009) Childminder for a 2 year old baby girl. Duties included: playing games, cooking for and cleaning up after the child. Driving the child to and from appointments. Patatti Family (Summer of 2006) Permanent Childminder for a diabetic child. Duties Included: counting correct nutritional info up before she ate and after she ate, checking blood sugar, giving her needles, ensuring she got her insulin on the right time. I am ready to give this all up now and move to a new city where I can devote myself to a new setting. I have been working for the past year and a half at a local resort. Mainly in Guest services but seasonally in the Recreation Programs. I am also an on call babysitter for the resort and remain at the top of the call list. I love the parts of my job where I can work with babies and children. I have my children’s preparation certificate otherwise known as the babysitters course. I have first aid and food safe.
